A pair of hunters walking through a wooded lot in Norfolk have found the body of a 65-year-old St. Catharines man who was reported missing in early November.
Hugh Jones had last been seen on Tuesday, Nov. 6. In its missing person report a few days later, police provided a photo and description, as well as information about the man’s vehicle and licence plate. Police also indicated the man was known to frequent Tim Hortons.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, officers were called to an address on Front Road in Charlotteville, a township in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined two hunters were walking through a wooded lot off Front Road when they located a deceased man.
The man was identified as Jones.
A post-mortem examination was hold Wednesday, Dec. 5, and as a result police are not treating the death as suspicious and suspect no foul play.
The Niagara Regional Police is requesting assistance in locating a missing male from St. Catharines.
Hugh JONES is a 65 year old male who resides in St Catharines ON. Hugh JONES was last seen on Tuesday November 6th, 2018. Hugh was last seen wearing a blue button up dress shirt, brown corduroy pants and brown velco strap shoes. Hugh JONES is travelling in his 2011 grey Dodge Caravan with Ontario license plate CCJN 309. Hugh JONES frequents Tim Hortons.
Hugh JONES is known to be a heavy smoker and suffers from visible tremors and shakes. If Hugh JONES or the vehicle is observed please contact police.
